Pamela Smith is a wife, mother, and passionate Human Resources Manager who was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Growing up in the Englewood community, Pamela was nurtured by a loving mother and family, and from an early age she developed a deep passion for teaching and service.

Her journey into ministry began at age 14 as a Sunday School Teacher and she was later introduced to church leadership under the mentorship of her late Spiritual Leader, Pastor Isaiah Miller Sr., of Shining Light Baptist Church.

 

Pastor Isaiah Miller Sr. fathered Pam with an unconditional love and modeled the fruits of the spirit and humility flawlessly, leaving godly character as a foundation and non-negotiable in all she does. It was there where Pam’s call to pastoring was confirmed, and she was trusted to lead many programs and biblical education for the ministry. Pamela served for nearly 13 years at Shining Light with her last role being an associate minister. She maintains lasting relationships with members of the congregation who have become family. As her walk with God evolved, she felt led on a broader, non-denominational journey to embrace a more expansive understanding of ministry, learning from respected prophetic leaders at various churches.

Over the years, Pamela has served in different ministries, teaching and offering her gifts in many areas of service. She is a learner and values the lessons and development imparted at every stop. The heart of her calling was birthed in the secret place with God, where she devoted herself to training and development in spiritual matters and digestion of the word. God has blessed Pamela with a Pastor after His own heart, Pastor Janet Waite-Pratt of Harvest Time Worship Center, who covers her as she covers others. Pam is the founder and teacher of Word Up Bible Study and Prayer Group, soon to be launched as a podcast. Additionally, Pamela serves as the Senior Leader at Armed Outreach Perfecting Place, a church dedicated to the development and maturity of the body of Christ.

Pamela is also known for evangelizing and carrying the word of God abroad. She officiates weddings and funerals passionately, offering intercession for those in grief and delivering God’s word to those joining in matrimony. Her heart for hospitality shines through in all that she does. When not serving in the ministry, Pamela enjoys spending quality time with her family, planning thoughtful events and cookouts to bring people together.

The woman you see today was birthed through adversity and many mistakes, but God brought her out which is why Pam pays her deliverance forward by helping others become free. Pamela Smith continues to serve God with a heart of compassion, dedication, and commitment for the growth and development of both family and community.
